When I have joy, my life is so much more satisfying. Yes, there are joy stealers that come my way! When they come, I go to the joy maker – because in His presence there is fullness of joy. Psalms 16:11 (NKJV) is a great reminder, ”You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
Joy – that passion within you that is energized by attaining excellence. Your pleasurable feelings or emotions that come from your victories, accomplishing your goals, and seeing your destiny unfold before your eyes. This joy is not just based on what you and I see or experience but what you and I know; and so we expect the possession of what we love or desire; we are filled with gladness; our spirits are exhilarated; and we are overcome with delight. This is bubbling with joy! When I think of this joy, I think of effervescing, I think of boiling, or simmering, or sparkling… and I desire this for me… for you!
As you read and reflect on these daily devotionals, I want you to begin to see how being in God’s presence can bring joy to every area of your life; your job, your passions, your circumstances, your family, your finances, and the many other areas you have to deal with on a daily basis. You will be amazed to see how this dimension of your life when lived to its fullest, affects the rest of your life in a positive, life-changing way.
I invite you to read this devotional with an open heart, and a great desire to begin to bubble with joy every single day of your life.
