Last evening my husband (Audley) and I met Shadi in a jewellery store close to home. We were walking through the mall and with thoughts of our upcoming wedding anniversary we strolled in this jewellery store.
Shadi, a pleasant, beautiful, tall, Persian woman; was quite helpful and showed us lovely rings that we tried on one after the other. She then offered to clean our rings to make them sparkly again, as Audley was wondering why his rings weren't sparkling as they used to...(smile)
While we waited for our rings we talked about our cultures and Shadi became interested in our age and how we reconnected. We got the opportunity to share our story of being high school sweethearts, separating, and reconnecting after 22 years of not being in touch with each other. She was so touched by our story and expressed a sense of hope for the future. She shared her delight in meeting and sharing with us by offering each of us an embrace.
This was definitely a divine appointment. We left the store feeling so lifted in our spirits and so blessed that a life has been touched by our story.
